I love my SOHL Shelving Unit — and more upcoming ALDI Finds!
I’m looking at the sneaky peek of next week’s ALDI ad, so thought I’d tell you about a few of my favorite upcoming ALDI Finds.
This week I had a bit of an aha! moment while browsing the new ad, because every once in a while one of their ads causes me to take a look around, and then I realize just how much ALDI creep has taken over my house. To wit:
You see that SOHL Furniture 5 tier shelving unit featured in this week’s ad for $49.99? Yeah. I already own one from last March, which I believe is the last time they had these available in store.
I can’t recommend this SOHL shelving unit highly enough. Not only does it still look good after a year (and go perfectly in my home), it truly has to be easy to put together. I know this, because I assembled mine all.by.my.self — and, I’m probably one of the worst furniture put-togetherers on earth. Yeah, it took me a while. Yeah, I might have assembled part of it backwards on the first go-round, then ended up taking a chunk apart and putting it back together again.
But once past those minor obstacles, look how nice! Now I’m coveting the matching writing desk (which is also in this week’s ad), but $69.99 is too high for me right now. Maybe I’ll get lucky and find it on clearance eventually… 😉
What else do I already own from this week’s ALDI ad?
Well, let’s start with this Huntington Home 5’x7′ berber area rug (also available in plush) — please do ignore the technology obsessed child in the corner, though, since there’s no school here today. I’ve had my ALDI rug for a while as well; various area rugs roll on sale through ALDI several times a year.
This particular Huntington Home area rug has held up quite nicely since I purchased it last August, except for a couple small spots at the edges where the cats have decided this is less a decorative area rug than it is a giant personal scratching pad for their enjoyment.
That’s less ALDI’s fault than that of the three bad kitties, so an ALDI area rug seems like a worthwhile investment at just $19.99.
Oh yes, I also own an ALDI Food Find
32 oz Clancy’s popcorn kernels are pictured in this ad at $1.59! I actually bought a couple of bags the last time these were available, since I didn’t know then they’d be coming back, and still have one left unopened. This is a nice price for popcorn kernels.
ALDI Finds I don’t yet own…
Just a few more ALDI Finds that intrigue me from this week’s ad.
On the non-food front:
- Crofton Cast Iron French Oven, $24.99
- Serra Ladies’ 2 pack soft leggings, $8.99
- Serra Ladies’ canvas sneakers, $7.99
- Pembrook 50 card combo pack, $4.99
- Huntington Home 3 wick candle, $3.99
- Huntington Home twin or full sheet sets, $9.99
They also have 10″ hanging baskets (see price in store) as well as seed and bulb packets, but it’s way too early in my neck of the woods to start planting yet!
And a few interesting food related finds include:
- Specially Selected pear & gorgonzola or mushroom truffle oil ravioli, $3.69
- Clancy’s dill pickle potato chips, $1.79
- L’Oven Fresh Oregon purple barley rye bread, $2.99
- Stonemill popcorn seasonings, $1.79
- Mama Cozzi’s 12″ cauliflower crust deli pizza, $6.59
- Happy Farms Preferred apple smoked gruyere, gouda, or cheddar, $3.49
Heads up: Their cauliflower crust pizza is gluten free, but not low carb.
