Half sour pickles, three wick holiday candles, and ALDI Advent calendars in this week’s ALDI Finds
It’s the advent of all things holiday at ALDI, and are they ever in full swing this week. Add some cozy seasonal scent to your home with these Huntington Home three wick holiday scented candles, or invest $3.49 in a Huntington Home 36″ cinnamon broom. (The whole darn aisle was cinnamon-y from these!) From chocolate to cheese, from Advent calendars to cozy socks, from stollen to slow cookers, this latest ad (and the aisles) are jam packed with new special buys.
We already talked about the wonderful seasonal ALDI cheese selections for your next charcuterie board (and even more cheese options have appeared in my store since), but here are a few more of my favorite ALDI Finds and sale items from the new week’s ad starting either 11/3/19 or 11/6/19. (Note: even in Sunday markets, many of the new non-food Finds don’t release until Wednesday). These are filled out with a few new non-advertised Finds that I’ve spotted at my own store recently.
2019 Advent Calendars at ALDI
This week’s big news is, of course, that Advent calendars are back at ALDI for 2019. Most stores gave out limited first come, first served tickets for the wine, beer, and cheese calendars in the lines that formed before opening yesterday, but you have many other Advent calendar options this year. (Look at the size of this Disney storybook one! So fun for the little ones.)
Advent calendars at ALDI for 2019 include:
- Festive Collection Wine Advent Calendar
- Emporium Selection Cheese Advent Calendar
- Beer Advent Calendar
- Cocheur Advent Calendar or Choceur Premium Advent Calendar
- Mattel Hot Wheels, Toy Story 4, Barbie, or Cars Advent Calendar
- Spin Master Paw Patrol Advent Calendar
- OmegaSnax Dog Advent Calendar
- Moser Roth 24 Days of Christmas Nutcracker Advent Calendar
- Disney Book Advent Calendar
*** Oh, and if you missed out on the wine one — look for a (NOT an Advent calendar) Sparkling Wine “Countdown to the New Year” collection of 7 assorted sparkling wine bottles for $24.99, starting December 4.
ALDI non-food Finds this week
Find most of what you need to cook and share holiday meals this week at ALDI! On the slow cooker front, choose from a 7 quart Ambiano slow cooker for $19.99, or a 3.5 quart Ambiano casserole slow cooker for $24.99. I highly recommend a 7 quart slow cooker, by the way — it’s a great size for larger roasts, big batches of soup,or even for your holiday ham.
Look also for these pretty Crofton stoneware baking dishes at $7.99, as well as mini ceramic baking dishes for $2.99 each. Other seasonal kitchen items this week include:
- Crofton adjustable turkey roasting rack, $6.99
- Crofton 3 piece measuring cup set or fat separator, $3.99

It’s almost enough to make me want to get cooking…!
Keep yourself cozy while cooking in one of these quarter zip sherpa pullovers, $12.99 each for men or women. I also spotted the cutest kids’ Lily & Dan sherpa lined hoodies, also $12.99, as well as kids’ winter hat & glove sets ($6.99), winter boots ($11.99), winter jackets ($16.99), and snowpants ($12.99). Find character slipper socks for kids for $3.99, or 2-pack Serra Ladies’ fuzzy slipper socks for $2.99.
Spruce up the kids’ bathtime routine with a licensed 2-piece bath towel & washcloth set or hooded towel for $7.99, while shower curtain/hook sets or bath rugs will run you $12.99. Pick up a Dentiguard children’s electric toothbrush for just $4.49, while you’re at it.
ALDI food Finds this week
On the food Finds front, holiday and fall foods as far as the eye can see. More things pumpkin, of course: Specially Selected cream cheese iced sliced pumpkin loaf cake is $3.99, and Friendly Farms pumpkin spice almondmilk creamer will run you $1.99. If you’re not feeling the pumpkin — or if you wish to top your pie — look for Friendly Farms extra creamy or Fit & Active sugar free whipped topping for just $.85 (or regular for $.69), and get even more dessert-ish with a 12 slice sampler Belmont cheesecake for $9.99.
Walking down the Aisle of Shame this week was a serious exercise in self control, too. To wit:
- Choceur dark chocolate cherries or cranberries, $4.89
- Specially Selected asiago & cheddar cheese crisps, $2.99
- Specially Selected dark chocolate sea salt cashews, $3.99
- Specially Selected cocoa dusted truffles, $2.89
- Winternacht dark chocolate gingerbread, $2.99
- Choceur 40 pc European chocolates, $3.99
- Moser Roth fine truffles gift box, $2.79
- Winternacht almond spekulatius, $1.99
- Winternacht stollen, $4.99
… and so much more!
Also look for holiday baking and cooking products to go on sale for the season. SimplyNature organic broth, for instance, just dropped to $1.49 at my store, and this week’s ad lists: Baker’s Corner brown or powdered sugar, $1.49. Baker’s Corner semi-sweet chocolate morsels, $1.29. Southern Grove 8 oz chopped walnuts, $2.99. Baker’s Corner 5 lb all purpose flour, $1.49. Look for more seasonal price drops throughout the baking aisle.
While browsing the seasonal cheese section the other day, I was excited to spot Park Street Deli Half Sours back on the shelf — these are the best pickles, and remind me of the ones my grandfather used to make. Also making a reappearance this week: Fremont Fish Market medium raw peeled shrimp, 12 oz for $5.49. I love using these for garlic shrimp with roasted cauliflower or shrimp & mushroom quesadillas, but they’re handy for all sorts of recipes!
On the meat and produce front: Holiday hams are back starting as low as $1.49/lb, but they’ll likely get cheaper as the season goes on. This week’s ad does feature Butterball turkeys for just $.87 a pound, though! Never Any! ABF whole turkeys are also listed at $1.19 a pound, and look for Gala apples, red grapes, fall squash, and avocados to be on sale in many regions of the country as well.
