Hey look: 10 oz Season’s Choice frozen avocado chunks are back in this week’s ad for $2.99, and I know a lot of you like these for smoothies. Look for fresh avocados to be on sale in many areas, too — just $.89 each in Chicago-area ads.
- Check out the “ALDI Finds” and current weekly ad tabs (or mobile menu choices) on the ALDI site, to window shop from home.
- If you’re planning an in-store shopping trip because you need to stock back up on food, use that online ad to help determine what you’ll grab and purchase if you do see it in the store.
As always, prices may vary by store and by region.
ALDI Food Finds this week
Yum, Journey to Greece rosemary & feta kettle chips are back at $1.89 a bag! While we’re walking through new pantry items, also check out Journey to Mediterranean dressing for $1.99.
And while we’re “journeying through” that region, the freezer section should sport Journey To Greece spanakopita for $4.95, a Bremer gyros kit for $7.49, and Mama Cozzi’s gyro style pizza for $3.99.
Besides our Journey-ing (and avocado-ish) items: Also in the freezer section, a 20 oz bag of Season’s Choice mini hash browns will run you $1.99. If gyro style doesn’t appeal to you, Mama Cozzi’s Cuban style pizza is also $3.99 this week — and we’ll keep journeying around the world with a fusia teriyaki or ginger chicken skillet, $4.99.
Moving on to the cooler section, some different flavors of 8 oz Park Street Deli hummus will run you $1.95 each: Lemon dill, Mediterranean style, or sundried tomato. I also spotted uncured Parkview Polska kielbasa for $3.89, or you can check out Park Street Deli olive pouches for $2.99 and Mama Cozzi’s Buffalo Chicken deli pizza for $4.99. Lastly — my store didn’t have these out yet, but Emporium Selection imported Greek feta or halloumi cheese will run you $3.49 for 7 oz.
As far as meat & produce deals in many areas of the country — which, as always, may vary by region — look for possible sales on blueberries, red grapes, avocados, mandarins, papaya, and organic kale. Some parts of the country have spare ribs, ground beef patties, and chicken tenderloins on sale, too.
The last time I picked up blueberries at ALDI they came in this resealable container: Genius! This is the only time I have been there during a blueberry sale where none were spilled onto the floor from the lids popping open.
