ALDI Finds — from seasonal wines, to pumpkin pies, to gluten free French fried onions

Let’s start out with seasonal beverages in this week’s ALDI Finds post, for those of you whose stores sell alcohol! Seasonal wines and other drinks at my ALDI today included:

  • Holly Hill Farm eggnog wine, $6.99
  • Christkindl Glühwein, $4.99
  • Connelly’s Caramel Country Cream, $8.99
  • Christkindl Apple punch & mulled cherry, $5.99
  • Petit Cherry wine specialty, $6.99
  • San Zenone Toscana Rosso, $5.99

On the non-alcoholic front, Benner organic premium tea bottles were $1.79 each — while you can also look for 64 oz bottles of Nature’s Nectar honeycrisp or salted caramel apple cider, $2.89.

Here are a few more of my favorite ALDI Finds and sale items from the new week’s ad starting either 10/27/19 or 10/30/19 (although, even in Sunday markets, many of the new non-food Finds don’t release until Wednesday). These are filled out with a few new non-advertised Finds that I’ve spotted at my own store recently.

Fun ALDI Food Finds this week

pumpkin pie on the shelf at ALDI

Yes! It’s finally holiday baking (and holiday eating) time. I’m so glad to see Bake House Creations pie crusts on sale this week: Just $.99 in my ad, and this is my favorite refrigerated pie crust of all time. Also look for 12 oz Baker’s Corner semi-sweet chocolate morsels at $1.29, and Southern Grove 6 oz sliced or slivered almonds for $2.49.

If you want pre-baked goods, though: Pies, pies, everywhere the pies:

  • Bake Shop pecan pie, $4.99
  • Village Bakery pumpkin pie, $3.49
  • Bake Shop cherry or Dutch apple pie, $3.89
  • Friendly Farms maple vanilla or pumpkin spice whipped dairy topping, $2.89

But we’re not done with the holiday baking and eating front yet, not by a long shot.

chef's cupboard bone broth on the shelf at ALDI

More holiday and seasonal food buys this week include Chef’s Cupboard chicken bone broth ($2.99 for 24 oz), as well as Chef’s Cupboard 32 oz cooking stock for $1.49. You’ll also find Chef’s Cupboard stuffing mix for $.79, Hawaiian stuffing mix for $.99, and boxed julienne or cheesy scalloped potatoes or bagged instant mash for $.89. Other seasonal food buys? Olive Garden dressing was back on the shelf at my store ($2.99), and I spotted Silver Hills organic sprouted power bread at the checkout lanes for $3.99.

gluten free French fried onions on the shelf at ALDI

Gluten free folks, rejoice! SimplyNature organic gluten free French fried onions are back, at $2.99 for a 6 oz can — great price, and these are very seasonal, so stock up now. Also be on the lookout for SimplyNature organic turkey gravy, $1.79.

countryside creamery spreadable irish butter on the shelf at aldi

If you have been missing the spreadable Kerrygold Irish butter at ALDI, you might want to take a look for their newer seasonal Countryside Creamery spreadable Irish butter instead, at $2.49 for 7.5 oz. (Who’s tried this already? Let us know if you feel it’s comparable in taste and quality.)

bremer party size lasagna on the shelf at aldi

Moving over to frozen foods, we have another seasonal favorite: Bremer party size lasagna with meat sauce. This will run you $9.99, but it’s a huge 12 serving box. (Even my ravenous teenage boys will get more than one dinner out of one of ALDI’s party size lasagnas.)

While you’re in the freezer section, turkey are back. Butterball turkeys will run you $1.29/lb, Honeysuckle White bone-in turkey breast $1.39/lb, or Butterball fully cooked smoked turkey is $1.99/lb. Oh, and if you have a sweet tooth: Keep an eye out for their $3.99 Season’s Choice sweet potato casserole.

garlic pork roast

ALDI meat and produce special buys and prices can vary by region, but many ads this week are featuring fresh pork sirloin roast (just $1.49/lb in my Chicago ALDI ads!). This is a great time to cook up one of my favorite cold-weather recipes: Garlic rosemary pork roast & potatoes. Yum, yum. On the produce front, look for pomegranates, grapes, honeycrisp apples, and avocados on sale in many markets.

ALDI non-Food Finds this week

swiffer compatible dry and wet cloth refills at aldi

Here’s a nice deal: Swiffer-compatible refills are back in this week’s ad at $5.99 each — a better price than the brand name, and these fit either ALDI brand or Swiffer brand mops. (Note, though, that the last time Easy Home dry or wet cloth refills were on the shelf back in July they ran a buck cheaper… everything goes up eventually!) Other cleaning items in this week’s ad include an Easy Home 3 pack thermo sponge or thermo scrub for $2.95, or an Easy Home sink scrubbing assortment at $2.69 each.

willow 1000 bath tissue on the shelf at aldi

While you’re strolling down the Aisle of Shame, take a look for big 20 roll packs of Willow 1000 Essential bath tissue at $10.99 this week. More random home items include a collapsible box bag for $5.99 (this looks super useful for packing  your ALDI groceries, actually) and an Easy Home 12 drawer rolling cart for $34.99 or 5 tier black shelving for $44.99.

To go with your new storage, this week’s ad features some sewing and craft items, too: These include:

  • Easy Home mini sewing kit or fat quarters, $4.99 each
  • Singer 32-stitch sewing machine, $79.99
  • Loctite super glue, $2.79
  • Hinkler art maker kits, $9.99 each
  • Easy Home mini sewing machine, $14.99

(I don’t recommend the mini sewing machine, honestly — I got it on clearance last year thinking it would be a good gift for crafty Middle School Guy, but it proved impossible to thread, and broke and jammed constantly. He got more frustrated with it than anything else, and it seems to be a common occurrence with the very cheap little ones like this.)

paper white plants at aldi

More plants this week! These Paper White plants in a glass vase are running just $2.99 each. Let’s see, what’s left in the ad… Oh, kitchen items! My favorite. A 7 quart Ambiano slow cooker runs $19.99 this week, while you can also look for an Ambiano vacuum food sealer for $34.99, and replacement rolls for $9.99 each. Crofton 2 pack divided dinner plates or a soup/sandwich duo are $4.99 each, a Crofton anti-splash lid is $8.99, a Crofton bowl or soup mug will run you $3.99, and an Adventuridge stainless steel thermal bottle is $9.99.

If you prefer gifts for your car, look AutoXS items ranging from a $19.99 car or SUV cover to $14.99 jumper cables to a $5.99 car seat cushion to a $4.99 car organizer. Lastly, to clothe yourself or your kids: Lily & Dan insulated neoprene boots are listed at $19.99, or Adventuridge winter boots for adults will be $34.99. Crane touchscreen gloves can be yours for $7.99, or pick up a Lily & Dan 4 piece children’s PJ set for just $9.99.

  • Rachel, any idea how much the Aldi Advent wine and beer calendars are going to be? (Online ad just says in store pricing) Received an email for Binny’s going on sale this Sat. Wine is $79.99 for 24 minis
    Thanks!
