A brief ALDI Finds rundown — Giant Unicorn sprinkler! and more

My ALDI store’s Aisle of Shame was wiped out when I went this week, so please do pardon the relative lack of new photos for these Finds. They did have the Gardenline diamond weave egg chair featured in this week’s ad for $39.99, but I don’t think it looks quite as cool in person (especially for the price) as it did in the ad. What do you think?
And while we’re asking:
- Are you back to shopping in store, or still using a service like Instacart?
- ALDI’s April 2020 safety updates
- Temporary ALDI return policy update
This week we’ll do just a brief rundown of a few of my favorite Finds. As always:
- Check out the “ALDI Finds” and current weekly ad tabs (or mobile menu choices) on the ALDI site, to window shop from home.
- If you’re planning an in-store shopping trip because you need to stock back up on food, use that online ad to help determine what you’ll grab and purchase if you do see it in the store.
That all being said, here are a few of the sales & Finds I’d hope to see in store out of this week’s ad. As always, prices may vary by store and region.
ALDI food Finds this week
Meat and produce deals can vary by region, but many parts of the country will have green grapes, strawberries, peaches, asparagus, and Brussels sprouts on sale. (In the Chicago area, both strawberries and grapes are just $.99 a lb!)
I spotted USA Gulf shrimp back in store this week, at $6.89 per 12 oz bag (peeled, deveined, and tail off). We sometimes just enjoy these cooked up with butter & garlic, but they’re also great in shrimp taco salad, or in garlic shrimp with roasted cauliflower.
Look also for:
- Park Street Deli Mexicali or street corn dip, $3.29
- Nature’s Nectar sparkling watermelon juice four pack, $3.89
- Mama Cozzi’s jalapeño popper or bacon cheese breadsticks, $3.99
- Priano manicotti or stuffed shells, $2.99
- Benton’s s’mores or coconut chocolate chip cookie thins, $2.29
- Mama Cozzi’s mac & cheese deli pizza, $4.99
And stores that sell alcohol may have 4 packs of Bacher grapefruit radler cans (see price in store).
Seasonal flavors of Moo Tubes are back, too: Cherry & watermelon at $1.55 per 16 oz box. Kids might also appreciate Mama Cozzi’s pizza snacks ($2.45 for 20 oz), 12 packs of Simply Nature fruit squeezies ($4.89), and Season’s Choice sweet potato waffle fries ($2.49 for 18 oz).
Oh, also back on the shelf at the same $3.89 price as Feburary: Look for 32 oz liveGfree quick or traditional rolled oats!
ALDI non-food Finds this week
So much stuff for your garden and outdoors! Besides the egg chair shown above, look for an Adventuridge pop-up LED lantern set for $9.99. I quite appreciate our LED lanterns — we don’t use them for camping, but they’re fantastic for power outages or for lighting up dark spaces (like under the sink) while fixing things. Full disclosure: Mine are actually from Amazon, but I have faith that the ALDI ones will be equally useful!
Other useful camping and outdoorsy items this week: Gardenline bug zapper, $19.99, or all season door mat, $9.99. You can look for a Ferrex electric pressure washer for $99.99, Gardenline hose nozzle assortment, $4.99 each, and a 5 pack of Gardenline solar disc lights, $9.99. Oh, and an Easy Home mini dehumidifier is just $9.99, or little three-in-one fan, $5.99.
OK, I have two teenage boys but am still tempted by a gigantic unicorn sprinkler. Unicorn giant sprinkler or dino giant sprinkler, $39.99 each. Also look for water-related items like: A Bestway blue rectangular family pool for $29.99, Sport Dimension paddle pals for $12.99, Crane snorkling masks for $14.99, Lily & Dan sneaker style water shoes for $3.99, and Crane ladies’ tummy-toning swimsuits, Serra women’s shorts, or Serra cover ups for $9.99 each. (If you can buy a swimsuit without trying it on, more power to you!)
Other backyard Finds that strike my eye include a Crane 5-in-1 premium combo game set, $19.99, and a Gardenline 10′ offset umbrella, $59.99 — or 7.5′ umbrella, $19.99. For your patio and yard, check out pretty Gardenline glass bird baths ($14.99), or mini kinetic wind spinners ($9.99).
Sip drinks on your spruced-up patio in Crofton Cabana pineapple sippers, $6.99 a pack. Keep drinks on your spruced-up patio in an Easy Home 10 gallon rope-handled tub, $5.99, and give drinks to the littles in Nuby wash or toss cups, $2.49. Dessert up your barbecue with an Ambiano churro maker, $14.99.
Lastly, on the plant front: Mason jar succulents are so cute! $3.99 each, while an 8″ hydrangea will run you $11.99.
